Dream 09:05
The visions form, distant forest Rails run through a frozen scene On ocean swells, to a far-off land Across the northern sea But on the corner of the street A distant recalled greeting, now a dream Holy Cross, holy stream Where the seed of belief Were sown beneath their feet After dawn, their class is called Through a portal of stone, they meet Taking their place, rows of desks Eyes wide, to this hall they greet Chalk and wood, give way to sunbeams On a field of laughter and dreams Friends play, for a life to come In the shade, of the willow tree On the corner of the street A distant recalled memory, now a dream Holy cross, holy tree On lands where kings once rode Their bonds were sealed The folly of those halcyon summers All cares were cast away On the crest of heavens-gate Their dream now lost in the rain

Emwell Cross 09:48
December solstice, a barren dawn Through the leafless trees, it is a season to mourn Where spirits rise, from not so distant times Filter into, the young boy’s mind Older folk of generations past Talked of war and the trenches of waste Of those now lost, through the prism of time Never forgotten, their honour remains And he sees them now In the faded, photos displayed The ghosts of past Generations, turns to grey Taking the toy gun, in his hands Barrel and sights, his to command Someone’s honour, to defend The deathly game, begins again

Part one Night of a Thousand Stars Wandering through, a glade of pinewood Across the forest lawn Fording streams under evergreen We knew this world was ours We climbed the hill, made of clay To view a perfect summers dusk As the world we knew, slowly turned Into the night of a thousand stars Part two Circle of Stone A cry is raised, now class is out The freedom bells ring clear Into the land of figures of chalk And the rolling sunlit hills Going forth, adventures calling A promised summer’s heat Cycling forth, the vistas change Through fields of grass and wheat Ancient stone, of the plain On rolling land, the circle of stone Appears through the morning mists The mood is high, expectations met Basking within this sphere The amphitheatre, of the stars Cast free from primal fears A banquet laid, drink to be shared Deposit to be claimed Summer shower, time to return Before the end of day Ancient stone, of the plain On rolling land, the circle of stone Sinks into an evening haze Part Three Promised Land We heard the song, words to savour, on the medium wave A guide on how to love, to such a tuneful phrase And then she said. Time to walk, for the day is long. We can bask in the summer heat. I’ll take you to the promised land. Beyond a crystal stream. Take my hand, and I’ll show you the meaning. What the song, really means. Then she whispered, it’s time to see the light. Just one gentle touch, and I’ll show you what is right. And then she said. Sinking into long grass, at the river’s edge. The vision of the cross, now cast from his head. And then she said. Time to walk, for the day is long, we can bask in the summer heat I’ll take you to the promised land, beyond a crystal stream. Take my hand, and I’ll show you the meaning. What the song, really means. Part Four Sea of a thousand dreams A winter chill, across the plain The autumn of dying leaves And soon she cast her hand aside Resolved it was time to leave A different song began to play The tempo not so sweet Until another girl turned to say Take my hand, it’s time to believe Holy cross, holy stream Cast, upon the water In the sea of a thousand dreams

Into Light 01:58

The hare and raven run their course Beyond a cottage deep in evergreen Where widow Orchard mixes oil and salt As the Ware stream flows beneath A coin for harm, whispered incantations The poppet doll in her grasp Charms to render, a spell is laid On the dark eve of Beltane Day The maiden fair, strolls the sunlit knoll Dreaming of a betrothal to be Shielding her eyes, she lays to rest In the shade of an Elder tree Eyelids heavy beneath the glow Drifting to the darkest dreams Her rival’s desires become clear Into the grip of an evil seed. She sees Widow Orchard and the elder tree Then the Rose of Sharon appears A broken curse on the breeze The witch flees back to her wooded lair. Widow Orchard and the elder tree Beside the stream, where Moonrakers dream The townsfolk cry, for the Gallows tree

Sins 04:15
A lonely child of the great war Tends her thoughts of planted dreams Promenade, the seaside sparkles Her scarf blows in the wind The coldest night in a veil of regrets The sin of circumstance appears Leads her to the darkest step In a summer of distant tears She turns to greet the glow A light that leads her home She read the book of ancient lines That crossed a nearby cratered field But voices on a different line Told her what to think and fear She took her box of memories past And threw them to the breeze The lonely child, of elder years She laughs to the mirrored scene She turns to greet the glow A light that leads her home

They all turn toward the falling sun Out across the vale, in the darkest night Faces glow, with hopeful eyes As they wonder the hills, till the morning light While they scan the starlit night Praying for the briefest sign Minds wonder to worlds beyond A damp West Country night Holding the cup, in his grasp A passing warmth, floats on the breeze The illusive thing, that draws them here Arthur’s words. Spoke loud and clear Cold air falling down They hold each other close As it moves across the sky Upturned faces turn towards the light The faithful fall to their knees Out across the vale, uncertain what they’ve seen Faces glow, with hopeful eyes As they scan the hills, till the morning light While they scan the starlit night Praying for the briefest sign Minds wonder to worlds beyond A damp West Country night Hold me close, beneath the sky Let me feel your warmth in this darkest night Bearing witness to midnights sight Convictions wane in the morning light

Festival 07:01
Midnight crossings, masses arrive Toward the hillside, in a pre-dawn light The stage is set to come alive He turned to see, the sunlight in her eyes Midnight crossings, masses arrive Toward the hillside, in a pre-dawn light The stage is set to come alive He turned to see, the sunlight in her eyes He turned to see, the sunlight in her eyes The sunlight in her eyes In her eyes
